This is the link to the SlideShare that I saved in my Blogger account.
SlideShare was fun to look at. I have never made a powerpoint presentation, but I can see where it would be useful for those who do. My SlideShare space can be found at: http://www.slideshare.net/leanablue

Thing #14
I have a Delicious account because I took the Social Web class from Michael in November 2007. I was surprised that my account still existed because it has been a long time since I accessed it.
This is a good way to take my bookmarks to any computer I use. The tags are helpful because it keeps them organized into catergories. It is also a good way to share good websites with my colleagues who are looking for the same information. I like Delicious for these reasons.

I have a Twitter account and I Tweeted, but I'm not sure if I'll use this very much. I am not much of a social butterfly. I did like the NLC News and the NLC Reference though.

LibraryThing is great. I added 12 books from my collection and would like to add all of my books when time allows me too. Now where ever, with an internet connection, I am I can see what books I have in my collection.

Technology is a great! It is a good way to stay connected to family, friends, and colleagues. Nebraska Learns 2.0 has been a wonderful learning experience and has even pushed me beyond my comfort zone. It is always good to learn new things. I would like to be one step ahead of the library customers because I think that the more I know the better I am able to serve others.
I have had a flickr account for over a year, but didn't do much with it, but I will use it more now. It is a good way of storing photographs outside of my home in case of fire, it takes up less space than having photographs in an album or box, and it is an easy way to share them. It also is a good way of saving photographs in case my computer crashes and it doesn't use space on my hard drive.
The Image Generators were fun to play with.
I am looking forward to finishing this class, because I still have a lot to learn about technology!

I liked the Findr - you could find photos on flickr by searching the tags. I also liked PicMarkr - you could put a waermark on your photos so people couldn't copy your photos for profit.

I used my "favorites" to find sites to subscribe to. I added American Library Association, National Endowments for the Arts, the American Library Association, NEA's Read Across America, Nebraska Library Association, and the New York Times Book Reviews - all sites that will be helpful at work.
These feeds are a good way of saving paper!

What I like about RSS is that I can subscribe to the bloglines that I choose to - the ones that I am interested in reading. I have family in Lincoln and Omaha so I subscribed to the Lincoln Journal Star and the Omaha World Herald. I was already getting Unshelved through my email, but this is easier, as sometimes it would end up in my junk mail. I already have a Flickr account so that was also easy to sign up for.
